|Ricardo M. Campoy|
Director (Lead Independent Director and Acting Chairman)
Ricardo M. Campoy has been a director of the Company since August 2006. His experience includes 37 years as a mining engineer, merchant and investment banker and financial advisor for resource companies, financial institutions and investment funds. Currently, Mr. Campoy is the Managing Director of the Minerals Capital and Advisory practice for Headwaters MB, a merchant bank. Previously, he was in private practice as a financial advisor, a Managing Director and Head of the Mining and Metals Group for WestLB in New York, and held senior management positions with McFarland Dewey & Co. LLC, ING Capital, Swiss Bank, Elders Resources Finance Inc. European Banking Company and Continental Illinois Bank. Prior to his banking career, Mr. Campoy worked in various engineering and supervisory production positions with Inspiration Copper Inc., Dravo Corporation, BCL Bamangwato Concessions Ltd. and AMAX Inc. Mr. Campoy earned a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and Master of International Management (Finance) from the American Graduate School of International Management.
|Bruce D. Hansen|
Director and Chief Executive Officer
Bruce D. Hansen has been our Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company since January 2007. From September 2005 until he joined us in January 2007, Mr. Hansen served as Senior Vice President, Operations Services and Development at Newmont Mining Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Hansen served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Newmont Mining Corporation from July 1999 to September 2005. Mr. Hansen also served as the Vice President of Project Development for Newmont and previously was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Santa Fe Pacific Gold Corporation. Mr. Hansen is also a director of Energy Fuels Inc.
|Mark A. Lettes|
Mark A. Lettes has been a director of the Company since April 2007. Mr. Lettes served as Chief Financial Officer of Apex Silver Mines from June 1998 to June 2006, and was responsible for financing of Apex's large-scale San Cristobal silver and zinc mine in Bolivia. Prior to joining Apex, Mr. Lettes held senior financial positions with Cyprus Amax, Amax, Inc., and Amax Gold. Mr. Lettes serves on the Board of Directors of Yukon Zinc Corporation.
|Gary A. Loving|
Gary A. Loving has over 35 years of experience as a mining company executive and manager. He has been responsible for mining projects and operations at Homestake Mining Company, Phelps Dodge Corporation and Frontera Copper Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Loving served as President, CEO and Director of Frontera Copper from February 2005 to October 2007. Prior to his positions at Frontera, he served as Senior Vice President of South American Operations for Phelps Dodge, where he was responsible for operations at Candelaria, El Abra and Ojos del Salado in Chile, and Cerro Verde in Peru. His experience includes both surface and underground, base and precious metal operations. Mr. Loving's experience includes the development of new, copper mining and processing projects such as the Candelaria project in Chile from October 1994 through November of 1997 and the Piedras Verdes project in Mexico. Mr. Loving earned a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona and has completed Executive Management programs at both Stanford and Dartmouth Universities.
|Gregory P. Raih|
Gregory P. Raih was appointed to the Board in September 2010. Mr. Raih has an extensive accounting background and served as Partner at KPMG from 2002 to 2008 and held a variety of roles, including Partner, at Arthur Andersen from 1981 to 2002. While at Arthur Andersen, Greg served as the global director of the firm's mining industry practice and has significant experience with mining accounting and reporting issues. He served as Engagement Partner on a number of mining clients, including Newmont Mining and BHP Billiton Base Metals. Mr. Raih is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Tong Zhang has served as a Director for General Moly since December 2015. Mr. Zhang is the Chairman of the Overseas Investment Committee and CEO of the International Business Group of AMER International Group Co. Ltd (“AMER”) and was previously a Group Vice President with AMER. Prior to joining AMER, he was a co-founder of a private equity fund and held various positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its management consulting practice and assurance organization.
Mr. Zhang has over 17 years’ experience in senior management and investment roles involving international transactions, including leading several private investments and M&A transactions in both China and the United States.
