Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer since January 2007. From September 2005 until joining General Moly, served as Senior Vice President, Operations Services and Development, at Newmont Mining Corporation. Prior to that, served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Newmont from July 1999 to September 2005. Also served as Vice President of Project Development for Newmont and previously was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Santa Fe Pacific Gold Corporation. Bruce has a BS in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a MBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico.
Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer since April 2007. More than 31 years of financial and operational experience in the metals and mining industry and most recently served as Vice President Finance, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of The Doe Run Resources Corporation. Dave has a BS in business administration, finance and accounting, and an MBA in finance from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Pennington joined General Moly in October 2007 as Vice President of Engineering and Construction and became Chief Operating Officer in January 2012, overseeing Mt. Hope and Liberty permitting and development. Previously, Mr. Pennington served as Chief Operating Officer of M3 Engineering & Technology (M3) in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Pennington has 34 years of metal mine operations and project management experience, including 24 years in management of mine and plant operations. He previously served as President at the Phelps Dodge Tyrone operations and General Manager at Phelps Dodge Morenci. Mr. Pennington's project experience dates back to 1982 with the construction and startup of the Kennecott Chino concentrator, followed by design, construction, and startup of the Chino SXEW plant, the Phelps Dodge Candelaria operation in Chile, the Piedras Verdes SXEW operation in Mexico and various other projects while working in the role of project manager for M3. Mr. Pennington has extensive experience in base metal operations and design, molybdenum processing and has a Bachelors of Science from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Corporate Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources
Corporate Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources since September 2010. Mr. Roswell most recently served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Law and Human Resources at Flatiron Financial Services Inc., a Denver-based loan servicing firm. There, he managed a range of Human Resource issues including recruitment, hiring, and benefit program design and implementation. Additionally, Scott managed the legal department and the firm's relationship with outside counsel. Previously, Scott spent ten years serving as in-house Counsel for Qwest and US West, where he practiced in the Risk Management group. Prior to that, Scott was an associate for the Denver law firm Hall and Evans.
Controller and Treasurer
Controller, Treasurer and principal accounting officer since June 2009 and Controller of the Company since May 2009. Mr. Shumway joined the Company in November 2007 as Director of Business Process and Information Technology, responsible for supply chain management and information technology. From 2002 to November 2007, he served as Director of Supply Chain - Nevada Operations for Newmont Mining Corporation. Prior to joining Newmont, Mr. Shumway had more than 15 years of experience with Santa Fe Pacific Gold and Price Waterhouse.
Vice President and General Manager of Mt. Hope
Mr. Iannacchione joined the Company in May 2011 and has been primarily responsible for building the Mt. Hope operating team, coordinating construction and start-up activities and managing local stakeholder relationships. After construction is complete, he will manage the operation of the Mt. Hope mine. Mr. Iannacchione has more than 30 years of mining experience, predominately in Nevada. This included serving as Operations Manager at Goldcorp's Marigold Mine. Prior to that, Mr. Iannacchione was Vice President and General Manager at the Round Mountain gold mine, a joint-venture between Barrick Gold Corporation and Kinross Gold Corporation.
Vice President of Permitting and Environmental Compliance
Mr. Rogers joined General Moly in 2007, and has led the Company’s permitting, land management, water rights, environmental programs and compliance for the Mt. Hope and Liberty projects. He also provides corporate level communications and direction throughout local, state, and federal channels. Mr. Rogers has over 27 years of environmental, permitting and regulatory compliance experience in mining and mill operations, primarily in Nevada. Previous roles include building a successful consultancy as Elko Division Manager of JBR Environmental Consultants and serving as Environmental Manager at Newmont Mining Corporation. Mr. Rogers earned an MS and BS in Geology from the University of Idaho, and is a Certified Environmental Manager (NV) and Registered Professional Geologist (ID).
